Currently > Digital Planning @ R/GA
I am currently working at R/GA (London), one of the world's leading digital creative agencies, focusing on digital planning and insights for their client Nokia. R/GA has done some ground-breaking digital work including the Nike+ concept, and more recently, Urbanista Diaries. This is my first taste of working in London and has been a brilliant introduction thus far.
2007-2008 > Web Strategy @ The Big Switch
The Big Switch was Australia's largest online climate change community. The site made it easy for people to turn their climate change thoughts into action including communicating with their local politicians. I provided a range of strategy consulting on user journeys, interaction design, communications, social networking and digital marketing.
2004-2006 > Executive Officer @ goodcompany
goodcompany innovatively connects skilled professionals with charities who need pro bono assistance. I helped build-up the Sydney office before taking responsibility for goodcompany's overall strategy, development and growth (over $6 million in services facilitated).
2003 > New Media Writer @ Crikey
A fascinating introduction to a very early-stage web startup focused on independent, fearless and (somewhat) controversial journalism. A short stint but lots of fun and a chance for me to develop my writing skills and plot my next career move.
2000-2002 > Portal Strategy @ Excite/Optus
The 'nirvana' of deep personalisation on a single start-page. Sound familiar? Perhaps Excite was a little early. Anyway, it was great experience for me in developing web strategy.
1997-1999 > Brand Manager @ IBM
I started at IBM straight out of university (Bachelor of Commerce) working in a business-to-business branding and relationships role. It was a terrific grounding in personal and professional skills, although it did not take me too long to see I was a little too 'entrepreneurial' for a corporate giant like IBM.
